Feeling so Fly...

Last night I had an epiphany for my next update. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, I was unable to do so until today.

To get a better understanding of the entire story, we'd have to roll back a week ago. Our blogging hero Pui had yet to blog for 2 weeks, and things weren't looking good for his site at all. He needed to fix that, and fix it quick, but hey, his last undergraduate year of college had began, so he has all the right to push back the update no? And so, within his contact hours, he found the time to go shopping in Melbourne's "Fashion Capital"...Chadstone.

Like always, I would attempt to enter any single shop that sells expensive and stylish male clothing, following close behind, my girlfriend with her imaginary leash of constraint. After a long fight, she had successfully prevented me from purchasing 1 blazer, 1 leather jacket,  2 wallets, 1 suit, 1 belt, 2 shirts, 3 ties, 2 pairs of shoes and trendy shades. Unwilling to admit defeat, I forcefully dragged her into the final store.

There it was. The game changer, the heavenly jacket that glowed. There was no more arguments. I got the jacket.

I was a bloody glowing hero.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Fast forward the story back to this week. I was wearing the coat like a boss, chilling down the streets.

It suddenly dawned on me, that I most probably didn't know how to walk; this thought truly saddened me. My foot swelled up to 1.3 times the size of my other foot within the matter of minutes, but that didn't concern me, after all, when a full grown adult fails to walk, it is a day where suicide is highly considered for the benefits of the human race.

It was only a short while after my suicidal thoughts subsided due to the growing immense pain from my leg, so like anyone else, I got into my car and drove to the nearest medical clinic from home (approximately 45 minute drive) as opposed to going directly to the hospital 5 minute walk away.

After being redirected to a hospital and waiting for 3 hours with Tony's company, I ended up on wheel chair.

Alan: Hey Tony, I have a wheel chair. Jealous?
Tony: Yes, a bit.
Alan: I also finally have something to blog about!
Tony: Really? That's the first thing you think about?
Alan: ...yes.

Moral of this pointless post?

  1. Jackets are nice.
  2. I'm glad I didn't damage my jacket.
  3. In all seriousness, it was a pretty nifty jacket.

See? It's a nifty jacket.

Final Notes

Alas, the year of 2010 has gone by and despite being slack and not checking blog posts of everyone else, nor doing my own, I am definitely sure there are an abundance of posts in regards to the closing of this year. Usually, I would like to be different, however, constant gaming has killed and utterly destroyed my creativity (explaining the lack of posts) and also added disgusting acne on my face.

Firstly, I would like to assure those who actually do read and enjoy my previous posts, that I will continue blogging next year and this is not a concluding post. I apologize as I have been extremely lazy the past month or so, and have been spending my time gaming rather than replying important emails, catching up with individual good friends, replying blog posts and writing new blog posts.

Having that gotten out of the way, I am now sitting in 40 degree Celsius weather, reflecting on my year. There are a tonne of things worth mentioning, and this humble post cannot contain the wondrous events of a college student; hence, I shall only focus on a few.

1. Christmas

Christmas had passed by...and I have yet to make a Christmas post, I shall have to reserve this section for the New Year post after today.

2. Choice of Fashion

Last year, I decided that my choice of fashion would be Smart Casual. Having received many criticisms, I went over seas puzzled and unable to settle down on a particular fashion and decided to roam around different styles. The year has gone past and it appears that I have made such an impression to my fellow youth that despite wearing "normal casual wear", they still regard it as "dressed up". Pity.

Me in a "casual" sweater
Perhaps it's just the vibe I give to the general public when I associate with them more closely. Anyhow, as the year progressed, despite having a variety of different styles. it started to lean in one direction.

A Jacket I got from my dear beloved.
It's starting to make some resemblance to some smarter looking clothes. I guess it can't be helped, we're not exactly in high school now are we?

Smart Casual? More casual than smart.
Eventually, it ends up looking like this. Although still more casual than smart, it is evident that I cannot escape the fact that I like wearing collared shirts.

Yep, smart casual wear definitely suits me the best.
<On this note, I would like to mention that I had a haircut a couple of weeks ago...not one I particularly liked. Also a couple of close friends are also bugging me to change my hair style, any suggestions?>

3. Resolutions

Generally speaking, I do not indulge myself in anything in regards to commitment...save for relationships. However, I believe it's time to get off my lazy ass and  get fit. I have decided to make this my resolution for next year. Because I have failed this mission this year. I would post a picture of half-naked me up, but I'll save my favourite readers from experiencing nightmares.

My other and less significant resolution would be to achieve straight HD's throughout the entire of next year in college. But that's not significant.

I would like to let everyone know that I will be going away for the New Year period for a little get away trip with my family and close family friends, thus, there will definitely be new posts. For now, Happy New Years Eve everybody!

Horribly Wrong

General disappointment in the lack of readers, or rather commentators on my blog. I think I should change the font size and layout a bit, perhaps that will draw more attention to it.

Onwards to today's topic of interest: An Interesting Topic. No jokes, I wrote it, it's interesting =]

Went on a double date couple of days ago with said girlfriend and couple of interest (note the times I use the word interest and it's variations in this post and or words that have the same meaning). The outline for the date was predetermined, interestingly enough, since I don't usually plan stuff and just jump right into it for the nice spontaneous feel. We were to meet up at the peculiar time 11am to eat brunch go down to Chadstone Shopping Centre (the 'fashion capitol' of the state according to their egotistic advertisements), and shop til 4pm.

This plan sounded too detailed to my liking, it was not going to go well. Woke up, got dressed and drove to pick up said girlfriend at designated 10am. "MY HAIR! MY HAIR! IT'S KIND OF MESSY!" Calls of distress from the other side of the phone did not pipe my interest. So in the car I stayed for 15 minutes. Unwise decision. The mistress came out with a look of irritation and disgust and sat unwillingly into the passenger seat. She then proceeded to play the game called "Who can make the Least Amount of Comments During this Awkward Transport Ride".

Eventually, since I was so good at the game she gave way and exploded like a volcanic eruption.

Her eye brows turned thick and manly and all her hair flew out. "MY HAIR WAS MESSY WHY DIDN'T YOU COME IN AND HELP ME STRAIGHTEN IT...." at this point, being your average college student, and let's be more specific here...average male college student, I didn't want to disappoint accused stereotypes, so I tuned out. It worked until 5 minutes later I heard the words "LAB CLASS". I stopped a turned towards her.

This was a pretty scary concept for me so I tuned in and learnt that lab was still running that week, I had already missed mine and she would miss hers and it would cost us 4%. I calmed down and reassessed my situation, interestingly enough, that 4% was worthless to me, and she didn't need it either.

I got to our designation and tried to talk her out of going to class that afternoon. Success followed. We met up with couple of interest, successful 'brunch' followed. In fact, the rest of the afternoon was boringly successful. Not blog worthy, so I shall use photographs to convey the remainder of the story.

In the end, we decided that sitting down and drinking was definitely better than shopping, and so we did.

So readers, I'm going to leave you with a thought, the moral of the story is, when you're driving, listen to what your partner has to say, it might not mean anything, but do it anyway. What are the most interesting conversations you've had in a car? Ponder on that thought, because my next post? Incidents that occur within my personal vehicle...

The storm before the calm before the bigger storm

And so the crazy couple of weeks of university life has finally subsided and is entering a calm. This is a heavenly peace for college students, no assignments, laboratories, tutorial, workshop or lectures. Ceasing this opportunity, I have decided to attempt to make up for my lack of posts the past week. I have just too many specific events to fill up one blog post, and I am tired of writing essays (as you will read of) and have decided to take a light approach hold your hands and take you through the past week of your average college student.

I was casually walking into university and everything seemed normal.

Something, however felt very wrong.

I couldn't tell what it was. Perhaps it was just me needing to blog that day, and I had yet to think up a topic to enlighten my readers with. Perhaps it was the fact that exams are hovering around the corner...or perhaps...then I saw my girlfriend and her laptop in front of her. I knew this wasn't a good sign.

Turns out that it wasn't a good sign. Turns out she was doing her assignment because she had 2 assignments due on the same day the following week. Turns out one of them were the same assignment that I had. Turns out that I had another assignment due 2 days earlier than the other assignment. Turns out that I haven't started either. Turns out that I have no references either. Turns out that I only have 4 days for one and 6 days for the other assignment, BUT I HAVE WORK FOR ONE DAY IN BETWEEN MEANING ONLY 3 DAYS AND 5 DAYS!!!

With so much "turns out", I freaked out.
Four thousand words to write about, on two things I have no idea what they were on. And so I turned into Super Hero mode and typed furiously on my laptop computer for the next 6 days.

Today was my 6th day, my mission was accomplished, and I can taste success. The calm has finally came after the storm, but...exams would whip up a global devastation, and I would need to build up a barricade with my studies (proudly accomplished via the use of Pui's Study Guide). So to start it off, I will blog this blog, and show you my new jacket:

Girlfriend's present to me for being so awesome

Fellow readers, under the assumption that the majority of you are students...how are you coping with your assignments and exams?

Kick Start

On Thursday, I had spent 13.5 hours working on an assignment nonstop, only to wake up the next morning to find that I had submitted it with at least 5 errors in my report. Normally, I would be fretting and annoyed, but I wasn't. Why? Because midsemester break was right around the corner!

Friday night was going to kick start it for me. Why? A particular club at my university, "Monash Clayton Anime Club (MCAC)" was holding a formal function, at a RSL in an eastern suburb. And I hope from a previous post of mine, most of you readers will have figured out that I love dressing up. Not just myself, but also anyone else who would let me dress them up. Even doing their hair, I take great pleasure.

There will be a MASS of pictures in this blog everyone, so do be prepared...

Formal Wear

It's been a while since my last post, I apologize for not updating earlier due to gaming...

Anyway, what has been happening in the life of this average teenager? Not much really. Rushing last minute assignments, checking myself out in the mirror, late nights and gaming. Pretty standard. There has been a particular change though, a formal event is coming through along with holidays just around the corner.

Now, last year, I was constantly harassed for "dressing too formally" everyday at university, when I'm heading out to a party, or just to chill in the city with a hand full of friends. Personally, I disagree, smart wear makes everyone looks just that much better! Honestly though, I didn't dress that formal, just smart casual:

What I generally wore on a day to day basis last year

Now, with so much crap coming from everyone last year, I decided that during my overseas trip I'd tone down a bit and wear some more casual wear. Now this is the kind of fashion sense I have on a daily basis...actually it really depends on my mood!

Like the change? I'm not sure myself, I do dress like last year from time to time and sometimes I do dress like your average guy, just to fit in with my description of "just another average guy". But what I believe people would like to see and comment on is not the everyday fashion sense, rather how someone looks like when they actually wear formal wear...or for a guy...SUIT UP!

Now, as I'm typing this I'm contemplating on whether I should post up a picture of me in a suit last year and the give you a sneak peak of what I would be wearing this year... I think I'll just give you the sneak peak =]

Sneak Peak!

I apologize for the dodgy-ness of the photograph, it was exceptionally hard to position the timer, let alone get the right focus, so please make do with it for now. I actually had to rush to put the blazer on...hence my shirt is kind of weird...it's called a sneak peak! Stop trying to pick out the faults!!

I'm going to end the blog with one more picture Just to demonstrate my greatness and the fact that I do occasionally dress like a casual guy.

Awesomeness? Right in the centre.

So fellow readers, what do you wear daily? Formal? Smart casual? Or just casual? Perhaps you don't wear any more than your undergarment ;)
